About Us

Welcome to our website! 

Our story begins in 2010 when Luke started Dakota Rustic Creations with his love of metal working. He continued to work on this craft, refining his skills and in 2015 met me, Jessica. When I first met Luke, I thought it was amazing he was building his own business with a craft he was passionate about. I started helping create new designs and learning about metal working. I learned that I'm not good with a plasma cutter but I can help with torch coloring and finishing pieces. 

After seeing several satisfying videos of epoxy, Luke and I started experimenting and creating different products with wood and epoxy. This led to a nice summer day of putting an entire pine cone in epoxy and making a set of coasters. These Pine Cone Epoxy Coasters have become a hit with a set even going all the way to Germany! 

Last year, April 2023, Luke was able to leave his full time job and pursue this business full time. We decided enough waiting, it's time to see what we can do. We also took another and purchased a laser. This opened the door even more possibilities and has allowed us to expand our products. We love being able to create new items and expanding our knowledge. 

We love to create custom one of a kind items and enjoy crafting beautiful pieces of art. We put lots of love and careful thought into all we do. We hope you enjoy all we have to offer and hope you enjoy our story along the way.
